Pretty Purple Polish Perpetually Pleases

In treating my peelies, I've started using a new treatment, that seems to hold any polish I put on it very well.  (more about the peelie treatment in a later post)  So well, that it took me 2 passes of pure acetone and a lot of rubbing to get my previous manicure removed.  So now I'm working on using as few layers/coats of color as possible.  Yesterday was 1 coat of a-england's Lady of the Lake, a dark purple with very subtle scattered holo.

Today, I added a coat of Layla's Hologram Effect in Ultra Violet.  I've been on the treadmill, and showered since application, before photographing, so you can see some tip wear.  I have no top coat on at all, just one coat of each of the purples.  Because I'm so enamoured with holos, I try to do a base color that is similar to the holo I'm using, then, hopefully, only one coat of the holo will be needed.

Behold:
Yes, that's a purple upholstered chair in the background, why do you ask?

I found it ironic that today's Martha Steward episode was about Pippa's Purple Party, a birthday party for a 3-year-old who's also a purple-ite.
